Today, 12 October, is Spain’s National Day and I am sharing Isaac Albéniz‘s Cantos de España (or Chants d’Espagne). Isaac Albéniz (1860 – 1909) was an influential Spanish virtuoso pianist and composer and some of his best-known compositions incorporate Spanish folk music.

The national day of my country of origin (Russia) is 12 June.

Good to know! I really love Russian literature. Besides, I remember that when I was a kid there were two Russian players playing in the football club that I support. Perhaps the names of Valeri Karpin and Alexander Mostovoi, do they ring you a bell?
