American composer James Horner (1953 – 2015) would have been 67 today (he tragically died in a plane crash in 2015), so, by way of tribute, I thought I would share this beautiful musical composition of his for film Braveheart [1995], performed on the piano by Patrik Pietschmann.
This was beautiful. Thank you for posting it. I watched Braveheart years ago, but I don’t remember any of the music, just how violent it was.

Yes, Mel Gibson can make his movies overly violent, like some needlessly violent scenes in Hacksaw Ridges too, but I think Horner’s soundtrack was exactly the soothing presence that film needed.
